As an Indianapolis Wedding and Senior Portrait Photographer, I know what you are thinking. I am crazy to suggest that you get up before the sun rises for a session! Guess what, I’m not a morning person either until I have had a little caffeine or mimosas! But, I recently had my first sunrise photo session at Holliday Park in Indianapolis and it gave me a whole different perspective on photography. This Holliday Park Anniversary Session was STUNNING and I’m sharing with you my five benefits to booking a sunrise photo session, whether that be for couples, families, seniors, etc. It is something you won’t regret! So, let’s get into it!
There are many advantages of a sunrise session, one being fewer distractions! You will worry less with fewer people around because no one will be staring or gawking at your pda. I know, getting your picture taken is nerve racking enough. With the locations being less crowded at sunrise, I have found that my clients are more comfortable to show up and be themselves. The session goes smoothly, its more fun and relaxed!
Indiana weather is UNPREDICTABLE to say the least, essentially those summer days. Hot and humid weather plus having a photo session can be miserable. You do your hair and because of the humidity, it falls out and now you feel less confident. Sunrise is typically more mild, cooler, and a lot less sweaty. You won’t have to worry about those gorgeous locks falling out!
You have heard many fitness professionals say “only use the scale in the morning, right when you wake up” this is because your body works while you sleep and gets rid of the evidence from that last minute late night snack. My clients always feel confident and have more energy in the morning than they would at a sunset session when your body is in wind down mode!
As an Indianapolis engagemnt photographer, I have learned that sunrise sessions are extremely underestimated! Many clients are after that golden sunset (which I love too), but sunrise gives you a whole different perspective and you will get amazing results. Sunrise is very similar to sunset, with that soft glow. But it hits a little different when you wake up with the sun. It feels so fresh, wholesome, and relaxing!
I always encourage my clients to treat their session as a date. Sunrise session has no limit. Your sunrise session will wrap up just in time to head over to your favorite breakfast joint and mow down on those pancakes.
I hope I convinced you to set that alarm for bright and early in Indianapolis! Let’s go have some fun at sunrise for your next Holliday Park Anniversary Session!
